It ain’t working

Tuesday, March 11th, 2008 at 2:38 pm

1 in 4 teen girls has an STD. It ain’t working. The sex-ed classes and promotion of safe sex seems to be hurting our teens rather than helping. Let’s get back to old-fashioned morality for the sake of our children.

Separation

Wednesday, December 27th, 2006 at 4:50 pm

According to the Bible, we are to practice separation. But how far are we to take it? And over what should we separate? It seems that Christians will separate from other Christians over little things. You let your women wear pants? I can’t fellowship with you! You don’t let your women wear pants? I can’t fellowship with you! You use the NIV? I can’t fellowship with you! You use the KJV? I can’t fellowship with you! You watch movies at the theater? I can’t fellowship with you! You don’t let people go to the theaters? I can’t fellowship with you! There are a lot more examples that I’m sure you can list. Why do we separate over some of these things? It seems in the world of Christianity, we will separate over any and everything, but in the world of politics, if it says Republican, we’re all for it. These things ought not to be. We won’t accept another Christian because of minor differences, but we will vote Republican even if the Republican is for killing babies or gay marriage. This is a sad state.

Turn about is fair play?

Thursday, November 16th, 2006 at 12:12 pm

While we are over in the Middle East trying to Americanize Muslim nations, the Muslims are over here trying to convert America. We now have a Muslim about to be sworn in to Congress - using the Koran in place of the Bible. Read the story here.

Stem Cell Research

Wednesday, October 25th, 2006 at 4:39 pm

Check out StemCellResearch.org. They have a score card that shows how many diseases and injuries that have been successfully treated with adult stem cells (found in bone marrow) and those that have been successfully treated with embryonic stem cells (those taken from murdered babies). The score is 72-0.

So why aren’t more people pushing for adult stem cell research?

Boycotts

Wednesday, September 20th, 2006 at 10:24 am

Many people have joined boycotts on Ford and more recently Wal-mart because of the support those companies give to queer groups. If you do so, you’ll have to add a few more companies to your list. One queer group, the Human Rights Campaign, ranks companies based on their friendliness, acceptance, and promotion of the queer lifestyle. Here’s a few more companies that they scored highly:

  • Raytheon
  • Boeing
  • Honeywell International
  • Northrop Grumman
  • Gap
  • Levi Strauss
  • Liz Claiborne
  • Nike
  • Nordstrom
  • DaimlerChrysler
  • GM
  • Volkswagen
  • Apple
  • Dell
  • Hewlett-Packard
  • Lexmark
  • NCR
  • Sun Microsystems
  • Tech Data
  • Xerox

In all, there were 138 companies that received a perfect score.

On the other hand, if you are boycotting the queer-friendly companies, then you should support these companies that were ranked very low by the HRC:

  • ExxonMobil
  • Meijer Inc.
  • Perot Systems
  • Reebok
  • Northwest Airlines
  • The Men’s Wearhouse
  • J.C. Penney
  • Abercrombie & Fitch
  • Nissan
  • Dun & Bradstreet
  • Gallup
  • Ben & Jerry’s
  • Kroger
  • Progressive
  • Ball Corp.
  • Cooper Tire
  • Dow Jones
  • Circuit City
  • Radio Shack
  • Toys ‘R’ Us

Holding babies for ransom

Friday, July 28th, 2006 at 11:07 pm

Recently, Tony Campolo appeared on the Albert Mohler Show. Mr. Campolo provided his opinion on the abortion issue. He said abortions go down when the economy is good. He said we should raise the minimum wage and provide healthcare and daycare so poorer women will be in a better financial position to give birth to their babies. In other words, he is saying “Give us some money or we will kill the babies.”

Also, Mr. Campolo said we shouldn’t outlaw abortions because the number of illegal abortions will go up. In other words, he is saying don’t make a law because it causes some to break the law. Should we not have laws against theft because then some will break the law? Should we not have laws against murder because then some will break the law?

The pro-abortion (anti-consequence) crowd has silly reasoning indeed!

An inconvenient false alarm

Wednesday, June 14th, 2006 at 9:17 pm

A while back, I posted about the Myth of Global Warming. Now, our former Vice-President, Al Gore, has created a movie in an attempt to scare us into the tree-hugger camp. Unfortunately, his movie is a distortion at best, and maybe even outright lies. Read this article to see the other side of the story - the other side that is supported by real scientists.

No matter how hard man tries, we cannot destroy this planet. God has already told us how he will do it.

Notify the ACLU!

Wednesday, June 14th, 2006 at 11:05 am

I cannot believe this has happened! This is a travesty! Somebody contact the ACLU so this can be rectified. Aren’t historians telling us that this nation does not have a Christian heritage? Notice in particular Delware’s. It is our duty to frequently assemble for public worship of God? Isn’t that what the Bible commands? How dare they incorporate the Bible’s teachings into the state constitution! This never would have happened if the ACLU was around back then.

Just in case you haven’t picked up on it yet, I am being sarcastic in this post. I praise God for our Christian heritage in this nation. I thank God that the founders trusted in God to establish and prosper our country.
