Abortion and birth control are not medical necessities

“We have doctors who won’t even issue birth control prescriptions,” said Nsombi Lambright of the American Civil Liberties Union’s Mississippi branch. “It’s not their job to impose their beliefs on others.”

This is not imposing a belief on another. It is acting on one’s belief. The person seeking birth control is not being forced to believe that birth control is wrong.

Abortion is not a medical necessity. Doctors who refuse to perform abortions are not guilty of malpractice.
