Are you cursed?

Deuteronomy 27:26 (KJV) Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen.

If you haven’t kept every single word of the law, you are cursed. But there is good news! The Lord Jesus Christ became a curse for us:

Galatians 3:13 (KJV) Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

Because he died for us, we are no longer cursed.

I’m not an idol worshipper, am I?

Wednesday, March 24th, 2004 at 12:48 pm

Do you covet things?

Ephesians 5:5 (KJV) For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

A covetous man is an idolater. Someone who covets is putting the object of desire before God.

Which Jesus?

Monday, March 15th, 2004 at 8:31 am

2 Corinthians 11:4 (KJV) For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

Just because a church teaches or preaches about someone called Jesus does not mean their Jesus is the same Jesus of the Bible, the saviour of the world.

Capital punishment is right because the land is polluted

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2004 at 2:15 pm

Numbers 35:33 (KJV) So ye shall not pollute the land wherein ye are: for blood it defileth the land: and the land cannot be cleansed of the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him that shed it.

God is for capital punishment. If we let murderers live, we leave our land polluted. Environmentalists show concern about the amount of pollution; it’s time we show concern for the amount of pollution caused by murderers.

Corrupting the word of God

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2004 at 3:18 pm

2 Corinthians 2:17 (KJV) For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

Even in Paul’s days when the New Testament was still being penned, there were many that were corrupting the word of God. It continues on today.
