New Testament only?

Thursday, February 12th, 2004 at 8:55 pm

Romans 15:4 (KJV) For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

The Old Testament was written for our benefit too. Christians should not limit themselves to just the New Testament.

The scripture spoke to Pharaoh?

Friday, February 6th, 2004 at 2:01 pm

Romans 9:17 (KJV) For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might show my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.

God spoke to Pharaoh. God’s spoken word is the scripture. The Bible is the very word of God.

Romans 7:24 (KJV) O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

Philippians 3:9 (KJV) And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
